The Flying Fish was built by public subscription in Essex, Massachusetts in 1860. Because of her unusual construction and large sail area, she was one of the fastest schooners in the Gloucester fishing fleet. Corel’s double-planked kit with pre-cut wooden parts is based on original plans. Only high quality woods, such as maple, beech and mahogany are used. Fittings are turned brass, copper and walnut. Sailcloth, all necessary rigging, six sheets of plans and instruction book are also included.
