French frigate of the middle of the 18th century This 30 gun French frigate is famous because of its designer, the well-known naval architect Fredrik Chapman. In addition to the drawings, all the calculations relating to the construction and the hydrodynamic resistance of the vessel are provided in Chapman’s “Architectura Navalis Mercatoria”, published in Stockholm in 1768.Made by Corel, this kit is based on plans in Chapman’s “Architectura Navalis Mercatoria” published in 1768. Pre-cut wooden parts facilitate plank-on-bulkhead construction. Ready-to-use fittings consist of correctly scaled hardwood, brass and cast metal parts, with special emphasis on the gilded metal prow and transom decorations.
