【 Black Tornado 】　The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team, a Yamaha satellite team, fielded two YZR-M1s during the 2009 MotoGP season with former Superbike World Champions Colin Edwards and James Toseland as their riders. The bikes were adorned with white and yellow graphics, including main sponsor Monster Energy’s three claw mark logo, on a black-colored body. Edwards took a 2nd place finish at the Rd.10 British GP, which contributed to Yamaha’s achievement of placing a rider on every race podium during the season.
