One of the first ships of the “U.S. Navy” was the Hannah, a fishing schooner of 78 tons purchased by George Washington, in order to fight back the powerful British Navy. The schooner Hannah first sailed, as a warship, on 5th September 1775. On her mast there was a white flag with a green pine and a phrase “An appeal to heaven”. Kit includes: solid hull, precut bulwarks, deck planking, masting and rigging, all wooden and metal fittings, cloth for sails, flags, detailed instructions and plans.
