Bluejacket Ship Crafters BLUK1036 PORTLAND | Featured on TV’s HOW IT’S MADE 1/96 scale wood ship kit!

LOA 36″

Scale: 1/8″=1′ (1/96 scale)

In 2002, scientists using sonar and remote controlled cameras located the wreck of the steamship PORTLAND north of Cape Cod. Lost in the “Thanksgiving Day Storm” of 1898, this is still considered New Englands worst maritime disaster. Her discovery was documented by specials on the History and Discovery TV channels, both of which featured our model. Designed so that each of her 5 decks, all windows and doors, etc. are laser cut. We have added etched brass railing for all deck perimeters. She is spectacular, with her etched brass wheel covering and above deck walking beam machinery. This 36″ sidewheeler is absolutely unparalled!

Please note that some pictured items may have been built with optional items not included as part of standard kits, such as pedestals, bases, cases, paint, etc. If there are any questions about the contents of a particular kit, please contact us.
