Nothing is quite as memorable as a great model. If you want your clients to remember you, one of the best things you can have in your offices are some great models. However, one thing you shouldn’t have in your offices are models that have been ravaged by time, the sun, or someone’s cat!
Yes, we can generally pickup your projects and then deliver them once they are completed.

This model sat on a sunny windowsill for years. It was surprising that it had lasted as long as it did without literally falling apart. When we picked up the model the hull was “hogging” as if the bow and stern were overloaded but it was also twisting like a banana. I don’t know if there is a technical term for that. Anyone know?
We looked forward to getting her fixed up.

In a very, very, scary operation, the model was cut right through in two places. Yes, we could see right through from one side to the other. These cuts allowed the sideways pressure to release and also allowed us to flatten her out.
Once she was straightened out, the whole superstructure was removed, she was repainted, and we applied new decals.

A very interesting version of Constitution, this model sat in a smaller boardroom in the company’s offices. The sun was never any trouble but the model had never been protected in a display case. This means she needed to be cleaned on a regular basis.
Well, after years and years of things working out, somehow she landed on the floor of the office, smashed and mangled to death.
No matter; this is right up our alley.

Once restored to her original glory, we supplied the company with one of our famous display cases; no more dust, no more fuss, and she looks as good as ever!

This one gets blamed on a overzealous dentist and Murphy’s Law combined with dominos.
First, our man did the right thing and scheduled a dentist appointment during his lunch hour; in and out and back in a flash!
Next, our cleaning crew did the right thing and cleaned the office floors during the same lunch hour; great teamwork all around.
Third, our man shows up still a bit groggy from the dentist appointment, doesn’t see the “wet floor” sign, slips, grabs the docking telegraph, ad they both crash to the floor. Sadness ensues.

Before we arrived, staff had cleaned up the area and, in the process, had discarded some of the shards of glass. Obviously, they did the right thing, but it gave us some extra work to figure out the wording on the face.
Surprisingly, we found this to be an extremely rare “Docking Telegraph” as would be found on very large steamships. They can be seen in the bow and the stern of models of Titanic and a few other large steamships.
Because of this, we made every effort to recreate the proper wording, in their correct position and also with an antique look. Each letter was drawn by hand, as it would have been on the original part.

We were very happy with the result and I think the client is going to attach that lovely piece to the floor!
